During this period, Viswa Lab has utilized the latest technology to analyze petroleum products and engineering to the highest level of quality and accuracy. Innumerable failure analyses and forensic studies have been carried out by Viswa Lab to determine the cause of material failure and fuel related machinery damage. |

In 1991, Dr.Vis founded Viswa Lab and since then it has been a pioneer in the field of materials testing and bunker fuels analysis. |

| Dr. Vis, whose name the lab carries, has a Doctorate in Metallurgical Engineering, a Masters in Internal Combustion Engineering and a Bachelors in Marine Engineering. He is on the Roster of Experts of the International Maritime Organization(IMO), a Consultant to the Department of Transportation (Maritime Administration – Federal Government of USA), and a member of CIMAC Heavy Fuels and ASTM D2 Committees. Dr. Vis has personally inspected over 4,000 ships, has had many publications in highly regarded journals, and is globally referred to as the “bunker guru”. The Viswa Lab technical team consists of twelve marine engineers, four Master Mariners, five Master degree holders and two Doctorates on our full time staff to serve our customers. |

Even those who do not participate in Viswa Lab's fuel testing program send samples for investigation when they face a problem which others are not able to solve. The failure analysis studies conducted by Viswa Lab have earned the recognition of the insurance companies and P&I clubs. Dr. Vis has participated in Moderation, Arbitration and Litigation processes. |

| Information Technology |
| The Viswa Lab website provides access to complete analysis data to every customer for all the bunkerings of the customer’s vessels. The customer can also manipulate the data to obtain port-specific, supplier-specific and region-specific information of fuel quality. Global fuel quality statistical data will be made available to the customer on request. A huge collection of technical information is made available to the customer online. A E-learning initiative and an interactive expert systems are being developed. |

| Empowerment through Knowledge |
One of the tenets of Viswa Lab is empowerment of customers through knowledge. In the last one-year more than 40 senior executives of shipping companies visited the lab and showered praise. During the same period, Viswa Lab conducted no less than 18 seminars and in-house training programs for its customers. This training is supplemented by technical updates, articles in leading bunker magazines and a learning center where knowledge is disseminated on a continuous basis.
